Alpines & Heathers

Versatile plants for every corner of the garden

Alpines

Alpines bring wonderful variety in texture, colour and seasonal interest. Create a dedicated rockery, plant up an old stone sink or container, tuck them into gaps in stone walls, or use them along the front of beds and borders where low-growing plants are ideal.

Their compact size makes them particularly useful for smaller spaces, while the huge choice of varieties allows you to create interesting displays throughout the seasons.

Heathers

Hardy, colourful and easy to care for, heathers are equally at home in rockeries, borders, tubs and window boxes. They provide excellent ground cover and require very little maintenance.

At Parkhill you’ll find a wide selection, including Callunas, derived from traditional Scottish heather. Their foliage can be particularly vibrant during late spring and early summer, followed by masses of flowers in shades of pink, red, white and purple from mid-summer onwards.
